Seminar Accounting Education 2019: Active learning

The Faculty of Economics and Business (Ghent University) invites you to the Seminar Accounting Education for teachers with the theme "Active learning". The seminar is organized in collaboration with the students of the Specific Teacher Training Program in Economics and Business Administration. The content is in line with the learning plans.

Program

The educational master

From the academic year 2019-2020, the specific teacher training course (SLO) will be replaced by the "educational master course". This has implications for the training and the internship, but also for the transfer to the teaching profession and the required skills. During this explanation, the changes and the consequences will be discussed in detail.

Robotic Accounting

Robotic accounting ensures that accounting documents end up in the accounting system without manual actions. How does an automated "purchase-to-pay" process work in a company? And what can the accountant do with the time becoming available because of automatic scanning of invoices? In this session the possibilities of digitization within accounting will be highlighted and we will also discuss the changing role of the accountant.

Hot topics in accounting

In this session, the chairman of the CBN will discuss some current topics and / or topics that are particularly in high demand from secondary education.

Please note: this year the seminar will take place in 'De Krook'
