Background

The research group Accounting Education is subdivision of the Accounting Research Group which is part of the Department of Accounting, Corporate Finance and Taxation at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Ghent University.

This research group Accounting Education invests time in projects, research and events to increase the quality of education in accounting. The final goal of these efforts is to make it possible for students to learn faster, more efficient and in a more pleasant way.

Our motivation

The passion for accounting and the interest in education is the common factor in this team. Each of the team members combines accounting knowledge with educational insights, but each of them starting from their own experience and background.

This combination is the starting point of each research and the driving force for 'UPE-proof' ( = Useful - Pleasant - Efficient) education in accounting.
