Seminar Accounting education 2016: Team learning

Each student has its own learning preference, but learning increases with active participation.

Active learning has different forms, one of these forms is team learning. In this active learning form, students are assigned to smaller teams. Under the guidance of a coach the different teams solve the exercises. Based on our research, the team learning increases student learning outcomes.

Team learning has been implemented five years ago in the course of financial accounting (first year of Economics, Business Economics and Business Engineering). During the presentation ‘Together everyone achieves more’ the advantages and disadvantages of team learning are discussed.
