cloud accounting

Digitalisatie bij accountancykantoren

This qualitative study investigates the extent to which Flemish accountancy firms have embraced digitalization. More specifically, the study explores if cloud accounting is already established in Flanders, how accounting documents are currently provided by the client, and which factors lead to or hinder the adoption of cloud accounting, using the TAM-TOE model. The results indicate that Flemish accounting firms have embraced digitalization, with a shift towards digital document submission and a majority already having implemented cloud accounting. Key factors driving this adoption include the various benefits of cloud accounting, the technological readiness of the firm, and the necessary support from top management and business partners. This research not only provides insights into the current landscape but also equips the Flemish accountancy sector with actionable insights to navigate the further adoption of cloud accounting so they can fully focus on the accountant's new role.
